Manufacturing Specialist SolidCAM & CNC Programming

You will be joining Pneumatic Power Tools & Company Private Limited, a prominent manufacturer of Strapping tools, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Cutters in the Indian market. Our manufacturing facilities, situated in Kolkata, India, are home to a workforce of more than 100 individuals and encompass a research and development division focused on continuous enhancement in quality and product innovation. As a Manufacturing Specialist, your primary role will involve leveraging your expertise in SolidCAM programming, CNC operation, and a profound understanding of machine shop processes. Your responsibilities will encompass scrutinizing part designs for manufacturability, crafting CNC programs, validating quality data, and devising essential gauges and fixtures to streamline production efficiency. This position is based on-site in Kasba, Kolkata, necessitating direct collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: - Review engineering drawings and part designs to assess manufacturability and propose enhancements. - Develop, fine-tune, and troubleshoot CNC programs utilizing SolidCAM for precision machining. - Operate and configure CNC machines as needed to guarantee optimal machining procedures. - Verify quality data through inspections and cross-check part dimensions against specifications. - Create and enhance gauges, fixtures, and tooling to enhance production efficiency and precision. - Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to tackle manufacturing obstacles. - Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and quality criteria. - Enhance machining processes continuously by implementing best practices and lean manufacturing techniques. Requirements: - Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. - Over 3 years of experience in CNC programming, machine shop operations, and manufacturing processes. - Proficiency in SolidCAM for CNC programming. - Sound understanding of CNC machine operation, setup, and resolution of issues. - Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and interpreting blueprints. - Capability to design and fabricate fixtures, tooling, and gauges for manufacturing purposes. - Knowledge of metal cutting, tooling selection, and machining parameters. - Strong analytical skills and adeptness at functioning in a fast-paced on-site production environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with multi-axis CNC machining and intricate part programming. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization methodologies. - Knowledge of quality inspection tools and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming.,
