Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development
• Create 2D & 3D models of castings, tooling, and components using CAD software (e.g., UniGraphics NX/UG).
• Prepare and modify casting drawings in line with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure designs comply with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and automotive/industrial standards.
• Validation & Optimization
• Perform design validation, modifications, and improvements based on trial feedback.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by optimizing casting designs and tooling layouts.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
• Quality & Compliance
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Work closely with QA teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Collaboration
• Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers for smooth execution of projects.
• Provide technical support during prototype and production phases.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of foundry processes (sand casting, die casting, investment casting).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (UG/NX, AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and heat treatment processes.
• Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and cost optimization techniques.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgical Engineering.
• 0-5 years of experience in foundry design or related manufacturing industries.
• Experience in automotive or heavy engineering components preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
