Design Engineer

The Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Design) role at Hero Motocorp in Jaipur involves visualizing and generating feasible design concepts in 3D/2D, considering weight/cost targets. You will be responsible for the design and layout study of VED systems and ensuring proper interfacing with adjoining systems. Your role will also include maintaining tolerances stack resulting in gaps/flush variation on the vehicle and conducting system & vehicle level validation for fitment. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of fabricated parts for new models and multi-sourcing of existing parts, along with part validation and Pilot Production trials for mass production of new models. Your responsibilities will include suggesting VA/VE ideas to reduce product material cost, chassis systems layout & design, concept visualization, vendor evaluation, and preparing design manuals. You should have a BE/ BTech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering from a renowned Institute and knowledge of advance surfacing, 3D modeling, 2D drawing in Catia V5/ Any CAD tool, DFM/DFS/FMEA, GD&T, manufacturing processes, material selection, and project planning. Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills are essential for this role.
