Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Exterior Trims -
Bumpers, Grilles, Door Handles, Side Mirrors, Moldings, etc
New Parts Development (NPD)
CATIA V5 (3D/2D Drawings & Surfacing)
Plastic Product Design

Key Requirement:

3 to 9 years of experience in Automotive Exterior Trim Design using CATIA V5.
Strong knowledge of Interior/Exterior plastic design, injection molding, material selection & manufacturing constraints.
Good understanding of vehicle architecture, systems & sub-systems for seamless product integration.
Ability to take independent technical decisions based on engineering requirement
Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.
Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.
Familiar with automotive safety standards & regulatory requirements for exterior trims.
Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.
Skilled in evaluating manufacturing, assembly & service feasibility.
Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.
