Design Engineer

As an Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for analyzing contracts and specifications to select the appropriate equipment for the required solution. You will also be designing drawings and/or material lists for the solution, taking into consideration safety, maintenance, and manufacturability aspects to create environmentally sustainable solutions whenever possible. It is essential to have a cost understanding of solutions and components, and to update order progress to other stakeholders in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze contracts and specifications to select the right products for the solution - Design drawings and/or material lists, considering safety, maintenance, and manufacturability aspects - Ensure environmentally sustainable solutions are designed when possible - Understand the cost implications of different solutions and components - Provide timely updates on order progress to stakeholders - Share knowledge and skills with colleagues as a member of the engineering team - Actively participate in meetings and workshops - Work independently on assigned tasks and deliver results on time - Maintain a customer service mindset Qualifications Required: - Skills and knowledge in AUTOCAD - Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is an added advantage In this role, good verbal and email communication skills in English are essential for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
