Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, your role involves reviewing the scope of works and specifications for structural engineering projects. You will be responsible for developing detailed design engineering drawings by utilizing information from various sources, including pipe/structural design calculations, conceptual designs, site studies, vendor drawings, catalog data, engineering sketches, reference drawings, and input from other disciplines. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct field investigations and produce clear field reports with detailed sketches and written and verbal instructions. - Perform basic design to detail engineering of structural drawings and prepare as-built drawings. - Prepare material take-off (MTO) and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) from detailed shop drawings/tender documents. - Review and check design drawings and vendor shop drawings. - Coordinate design information with other disciplines to develop a complete drawing package. - Perform department planning tasks such as manpower forecasting, work assignments, proposals, and developing engineering standards and guidelines. - Interact with clients, vendors, and provide technical support to site construction groups/teams. - Proficient in using engineering tools such as AutoCAD. - Prepare typical steel connection details, pedestals, heavy equipment, pits, sumps, trenches, piping, tower buildings, substation buildings, roads, paving, staircases, ladders, handrails, and gratings. - Model steel and concrete pipe racks, structures, and equipment platforms. - Prepare GA drawings for steel and concrete structures. - Coordinate with piping, underground, and electrical departments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Proven experience in structural engineering design and detailing. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering tools. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. In this role, you will be working full-time with benefits such as health insurance, internet reimbursement, paid sick time, and a provident fund.
