Key Responsibilities:

Core Design Work

Develop 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.

Create detailed 2D drawings, including GD&T where required.

Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for every assembly and project.

Perform engineering calculations related to:

Structural integrity

Thickness selection

Load/support design

Thermal considerations

Basic fluid flow/pumping requirements

Work on the design of:

Cleaning tanks and chambers

Ultrasonic assemblies (immersible, tube-type, tank-mounted)

Industrial washing systems

Filtration units, heating systems, piping layouts

Support frames, structures, and jigs/fixtures

B. Manufacturing & Quality Alignment

Ensure designs follow DFM, DFA, and Ralsonics’ standard design principles.

Modify designs based on feedback from:

Production, QC, Site/service teams,

Resolve design-related issues during fabrication or assembly.

Ensure correct tolerances, weld symbols, sheet metal developments, and machine allowances.

C. Documentation & Standards

Maintain proper version control and drawing revision history.

Follow all internal templates, nomenclature systems, and documentation protocols.

Contribute to and maintain the modular design library for repeated use.

Ensure design files remain updated in the PDM system.

D. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with the Design Manager for task planning and reviews.

Coordinate with:

Project Execution to understand customer-specific requirements

Production to ensure design feasibility

Procurement to ensure availability of components and cost optimization

QC to ensure compliance with standards

E. Continuous Improvement

Suggest design improvements for cost reduction, reliability, and performance.

Participate in Kaizen and internal problem-solving initiatives.

Learn continuously about new design methods, materials, and standards.

Requirements Qualifications & Skills

A. Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.

B. Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory).

Good skills in AutoCAD.

Understanding of:

Sheet metal design and fabrication

Welded structures

Piping and mechanical assembly

Mechanical tolerances and industrial standards

Familiarity with mechanical systems like pumps, blowers, heaters is an advantage.

Basic exposure to ultrasonic systems is preferred (training will be provided).

C. Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

Good communication skills.

Problem-solving mindset with ownership of tasks.

Discipline and ability to follow structured design processes.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in industrial machinery manufacturing

Job Description

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will utilize your creativity and range of engineering skills to develop customized solutions. You will be involved in the design and manufacturing of new solutions. It is an opportunity to take ownership of your design all the way from concept to final manufacturing. There will be collaboration with both customers and vendors to develop top notch solutions for a number of challenging problems.

• Use 3D CAD software to create models and drawings of machinery
• Develop customized solutions after interfacing with customers
• Oversee project management along with technicians
• Develop prototypes as per the requirements of the marketing team
• Perform testing on engineering prototypes
• Confirm system capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to industry standards
• Organize and maintain existing engineering records
• Document fabrication, assembly and installation processes
