Design Engineer 1

As an experienced Physical Design Engineer at Tessolve in Bangalore, your role will involve the end-to-end physical design flow from RTL to GDSII at advanced technology nodes such as 7nm, 5nm, or below. Your responsibilities will include optimizing chip area, power, and performance through floorplanning and partitioning, as well as optimizing standard cell placement, buffer insertion, and clock tree synthesis during placement and CTS. You will work on congestion analysis, RC extraction, static timing analysis (STA), power optimization techniques, physical verification, and sign-off analysis. Collaboration with RTL design, DFT, and verification teams for design convergence will also be a key aspect of your role, along with debugging and resolving timing, power, and physical verification issues. Key Responsibilities: - End-to-end physical design flow from RTL to GDSII at advanced technology nodes - Floorplanning and Partitioning to optimize chip area, power, and performance - Placement and CTS optimization - Routing and Timing Closure with congestion analysis and STA - Power Optimization including low-power techniques - Physical Verification using industry-standard tools - Sign-off Analysis for IR drop, Electromigration (EM), and Signal Integrity (SI) - Collaboration with cross-functional teams - Debugging and issue resolution Qualification Required: - 4 to 8 years of experience in Physical Design and Implementation - Strong knowledge of EDA tools like Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler, Cadence Innovus, or Mentor Olympus - Experience in floorplanning, power planning, placement, routing, and timing closure - Expertise in Static Timing Analysis (STA) using Primetime or Tempus - Hands-on experience with physical verification tools like Calibre, PVS, or Pegasus - Understanding of design constraints, clock tree optimization, IR drop, and power integrity - Experience with scripting languages like Tcl, Perl, Python is a plus - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment If you are passionate about Physical Design and looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge semiconductor technology, advanced process nodes, and complex designs in a collaborative and innovative environment with competitive salary and benefits, apply now to join Tessolve.,
