Design Director (UX)

As a Design Director (UX) Craft Lead at Merkle, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the overall design team strategy. You will lead large-scale design projects, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth of client work. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading experience strategy to develop customer insights, heuristic analysis, and optimization strategies. - Building relationships with leaders and partners to shape overall strategies. - Inspiring and leading the User Experience team, setting clear objectives for short-term development and long-term career growth. - Being an active member of the global creative leadership team, contributing to the team's vision, culture, and goals. - Promoting best practices to partners to support strategic priorities and drive business success. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - Demonstrated ability to lead the development of big ideas and complex interactions. - Proficiency in conducting research and translating findings into design rationale. - Experience in leading collaborative design workshops with clients. - Expertise in modern design tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, and Adobe XD. - Strong storytelling and presentation skills. - Ability to work in iterative approaches like Agile, Lean, and Design Sprints. - Stakeholder management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. - Relevant industry training, qualifications, or experience. - 10+ years of experience in a UX role, creating strategy and designing products. - Experience working with cross-functional teams and integrating research programs. - Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies. - Portfolio showcasing excellent UX theory, research, and usability designs.
