Job Description

Job Location: Bijapur & Tumkur (Karnataka).

No of position : 2 ( Deputy Manager) Power Transmission Projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling

    • Develop and maintain the project master schedule using planning tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
    • Prepare detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) for design, construction, and commissioning phases.
    • Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to integrate schedules and align deliverables.
  2. Progress Monitoring and Reporting

    • Track project progress against the baseline schedule and update the schedule regularly.
    • Identify potential delays, analyze root causes, and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
  3. Resource Management

    • Plan and allocate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) based on project requirements.
    • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  4. Risk Management

    • Identify project risks related to scheduling, resources, or external factors.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize project delays.
  5. Stakeholder Coordination

    • Interface with contractors, consultants, and government authorities for project planning and compliance.
    • Conduct regular progress review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Budget and Cost Control

    • Collaborate with the finance and procurement teams to monitor project expenditures against budget.
    • Support in cost forecasting and cash flow analysis.
  7. Quality and Compliance

    • Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with project quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
    • Conduct audits and reviews to assess schedule adherence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Civil & Electrical Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience in project planning, with at least 4 years in Power transmission & Substation (400 KV)infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts (FIDIC, EPC, etc.), and safety standards.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with urban infrastructure challenges and metro project complexities.
