Job Title: Deputy Manager IT (Development hands on Experience)

Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-Time

Department: IT Department

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Development hands on Experience with strong leadership and managerial skills to join our team as a Deputy Manager IT and Versatile in both languages. In this hybrid role, the candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications while also managing the daily operations of the IT department, leading projects, and supervising the IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java / Python / Other language-based applications and services. • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, and business analysts) to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure security, quality, and performance of applications through regular testing and code reviews.
  • Stay current with new technologies and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and apply them where appropriate.
  • Work on integration of front-end and back-end systems using RESTful APIs and other tools.

IT Management Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth functioning of all IT systems and services.

  • Lead and mentor the IT team, providing direction, technical guidance, and professional development.
  • Coordinate and manage IT projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and according to requirements.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and deliver technical solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Deputy Manager IT infrastructure including servers, networks, databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Ensure the security of IT systems, manage risk, and monitor for potential vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure third-party services meet organizational needs.
  • Manage IT budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience mainly in Java development and some other language, with at least 8 years Plus of hands-on experience (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and database technologies/ web technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) HTML, CSS, Java/ Python and other Script, and frameworks such as Angular or React Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams, mentoring staff, and driving performance.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering IT projects successfully.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, server management, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Java / Python and other language development (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Programmer).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other project management methodologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium).
  • Strong understanding of IT security practices and tools.
  • ITIL, PMP, or similar certifications in IT management would be an advantage.
