Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Lead and guide the design team of nearly 25 members in developing new products, assemblies, and tooling.
Interact with customers to understand technical requirements and provide design solutions.
Conduct reverse engineering and implement design improvements for existing products.
Prepare and review detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using Autodesk Inventor.
Coordinate with manufacturing and quality departments to ensure Design-for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance.
Manage and monitor project status with strong follow-up and reporting.
Evaluate materials, tolerances, and manufacturing feasibility for cost optimization.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation processes.
Ensure adherence to ISO and internal quality standards.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and be open to new design concepts.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering with a first-class academic record.
15+ years of experience in Manufacturing / Product Design / Tooling Engineering.
Hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Strong ability in 3D modeling, assembly, and detailed manufacturing drawing generation as per customer specifications.
Exposure to DFMEA, process validation, and design improvement techniques.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
