Job Description

Deputy General Manager Investor Relations will lead all aspects of investor communications, financial disclosures, and market engagement. The role will work closely with the CFO to strengthen the companys positioning with investors, analysts, and rating agencies. The incumbent will be responsible for crafting the companys narrative, ensuring transparency, and driving proactive engagement with the financial community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Communication & Relationship Management
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the company’s financial and business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
  • Build strong relationships with institutional investors, buy-side and sell-side analysts, and key market participants.
  • Organize investor meetings, roadshows, earnings calls, and participation in industry conferences.

Financial Reporting & Market Disclosures

  • Support the CFO in preparing quarterly/annual earnings reports, investor presentations, and financial disclosures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of financial results and business performance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, business, strategy, legal, secretarial) to gather relevant data for disclosures.
  • Oversee compliance with SEBI / stock exchange regulations and global reporting standards (as applicable).

Market Intelligence & Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, analyst reports, share price performance, and competitor developments.
  • Provide insights and strategic recommendations to leadership based on investor sentiment and market dynamics.
  • Track key metrics influencing valuation and highlight potential risks/opportunities.

Strategic Messaging & Branding

  • Lead the creation of compelling investor narratives that articulate the company’s long-termstrategy, business model, and performance.
  • Develop high-quality investor decks, Q & A documents, speeches, and briefing material for the CFO/MD.
  • Ensure consistency in communication across all external-facing materials.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and financial modelling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Deep knowledge of SEBI/stock exchange regulations and investor relations best practices.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships confidently.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.

Educational Qualification

  • MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA preferred.
  • Additional certifications in capital markets or investor relations will be an advantage.

Desired Attributes

  • Proven track record of managing investor relations for a listed or soon-to-be-listed organization.
  • Experience working closely with CFO/leadership teams.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with tight disclosure timelines.
