DeFi Security Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  in-depth audits

  of DeFi smart contracts (e.g., lending, DEXs, yield farming, oracles, synthetic assets).
• Identify and mitigate

  economic vulnerabilities

  , including flash loan attacks, oracle manipulation, sandwich attacks, and MEV risks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce

  secure smart contract development

  and deployment practices.
• Conduct

  formal verification, fuzzing, and symbolic execution

  to uncover edge-case exploits.
• Lead and support

  security incident investigations

  , root cause analysis, and reporting.
• Monitor on-chain activity and open-source channels to detect

  zero-day exploits or critical vulnerabilities

  .
• Develop and maintain internal

  automated tools and frameworks

  for DeFi protocol testing and monitoring.
• Write and publish

  thorough audit reports, technical blog posts

  , and best practices for protocol design.
• Contribute to

  bug bounty programs

  and coordinate with ethical hackers and bounty platforms (e.g., Immunefi, Code4rena).
• Stay ahead of the latest

  DeFi exploit trends

  , research papers, and adversarial attack vectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in

  smart contract auditing

  ,

  blockchain security

  , or DeFi protocol development.
• Deep understanding of

  Ethereum

  , EVM, and DeFi primitives (e.g., AMMs, stablecoins, derivatives, vaults).
• Advanced proficiency in

  Solidity

  and smart contract development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Foundry, Brownie).
• Familiarity with

  DeFi attack vectors

  , including but not limited to:
• Flash loan attacks
  
• Oracle price manipulation
  
• Reentrancy
  
• Governance attacks
  
• Sandwich/MEV attacks
  
• Infinite mint or over-collateralization exploits
  
• Strong knowledge of

  cryptoeconomic models

  and game theory.
• Experience with

  security tools

  like Slither, Echidna, MythX, Tenderly, or custom fuzzers.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
