Lead the end-to-end defect management process for automotive embedded software programs (ECU, ADAS, Infotainment, AUTOSAR, EV platforms). Ensure that all defects are captured, prioritized, tracked, and closed in line with project milestones and quality standards.
Defect Life-Cycle Ownership: Log, track, triage, and drive closure of defects across multiple agile teams and suppliers.
Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with OEMs, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to manage defect fixes and release plans.
Agile Management: Own and manage the defect backlog, prioritize tickets, and lead Agile ceremonies along with the Scrum Master.
Reporting & Metrics: Monitor KPIs (defect density, leakage, turnaround) and publish weekly status reports to project leadership.
Process Improvement: Identify gaps in the defect management workflow and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
8+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development / testing / quality.
Strong knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, Agile/Scrum.
Hands-on expertise with JIRA, Polarion, ALM, Bugzilla, DOORS or similar defect tracking tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with ECU, AUTOSAR, or infotainment platforms is an added advantage.
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related engineering fields.
