DCS Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Development of process models to evaluate and develop control schemes.
• Effective communication with customers and team members to recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements, share technical knowledge, and report technical problems.
• Participation in research experiments as needed.
• Participation in engineering review activities for projects to identify gaps and decide corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Definition of applicable standards (Design documents, Drawing Templates, Application development including Graphics/DCS).
• Strong technical computer background.
• Active contribution in the pre-engineering phase of a project.
• Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for the development of equipment2.

Preferred candidate profile

• An Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial Automation, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5-12 years of experience, preferably from a Pharma, Life Science, or Biotech background.
• Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical production processes and validation concepts with experience in any DCS/PLC.
• Proficiency in the Schneider EPE / 800xA system (Hardware/Software) and other system libraries is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCDL and PCEL libraries is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of ISA S88 Batch concepts.
• Understanding of regulatory compliances and application experience in projects is preferred1.
