Job Description

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Db2 Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Linux, strong scripting skills, and knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus. You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our Db2 database environment to ensure data integrity, high performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage Db2 databases, including installation, configuration, tuning, and upgrades.

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance.

Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.

Write and maintain scripts to automate database administration tasks and streamline operations.

Collaborate with development teams to support the integration of Db2 with applications.

Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.

Stay up-to-date with the latest Db2 technologies and implement best practices in database management.

Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Db2 Administrator.

Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Perl) for automation and task management.

Good experience with containerized Db2.

Experience with database tuning, optimization, and query performance analysis.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for Db2.

Understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
