We are seeking an experienced Postgres Database Developer with strong expertise in designing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale Postgres or Timeseries DB systems. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies and have experience working in real-time, high-throughput application environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement efficient schemas and queries for PostgreSQL and Timeseries databases (e.g., QuestDB).
Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.
Develop and maintain data integration pipelines (experience with Kafka/Flink is a plus).
Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to support data requirements and CI/CD practices.
Ensure high availability and scalability of data infrastructure.
Implement data security, backup, and recovery processes.
Contribute to the design of risk and fraud data models for BFSI systems (preferred).
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (v12 and above).
Deep understanding of indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
Experience with Timeseries DBs like QuestDB is a strong plus.
Familiarity with Kafka, Flink, or other streaming platforms.
Exposure to AWS cloud (RDS/Aurora/PostgreSQL-based solutions).
Comfortable working in Agile teams with CI/CD practices.
