Datacenter Operations Manager

Job Title: Data Center Manager

• Lead and manage data center operations teams, providing training, scheduling, performance management, and career development.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and standards to maintain optimal data center performance and security.
• Manage hybrid IT infrastructure, including on-premises hardware and cloud migration projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection policies.
• Plan and coordinate hardware procurement, installation, upgrades, and decommissions with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, capacity, and utilization; implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning efforts.
• Manage operational budgets, contracts, and service level agreements related to data center infrastructure.
• Stay current with technology trends in data center infrastructure, cloud services, and security best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, and IT operations.
• Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments and cloud migration initiatives (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading technical teams.
• In-depth knowledge of data center components including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and management tools for data center operations.
• Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
• Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), ITIL, PMP, or Cloud certifications.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and enterprise storage systems.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.
