Job Description

Role Overview: As a Developer specializing in Business Intelligence (BI) and ETL (Extract, Load, Transform) technologies at Astellas Pharma Inc., you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions for the organization. Your expertise in BI tools and ETL processes, such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, and Talend, will contribute to the success of data-driven initiatives. Collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining QLIK/Tableau applications including N-Printing, Qlik Alerting - Creating and consuming complex Qlik/PowerBI data models - Strong expertise in creating interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI and knowledge of DAX - Designing, developing, and implementing logical and physical data models - Understanding ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data integration techniques - Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data - Ensuring data governance, quality, and security compliance - Creating and maintaining technical documentation - Identifying, standardizing, and automating critical reporting metrics - Participating in continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps best practices Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience - 3-5+ years experience as a Developer or Data Analyst within a Pharmaceutical or similar regulatory environment - Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts - Strong SQL expertise, database design skills, and familiarity with BI tools like Qlik Sense and Tableau - Subject Matter Expertise in data architecture and operations within Life Sciences/Pharma industry - Strong coding skills in SQL, R, and/or Python, with expertise in machine learning techniques and data visualization - Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines Additional Details: Astellas Pharma Inc. is a pharmaceutical company operating in over 70 countries, committed to developing innovative therapies and turning science into medical solutions for patients.
