As a Database Testing professional at Minutes To Seconds, a dynamic organization specializing in outsourcing services, digital marketing, IT recruitment, and custom IT projects, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - **Data Validation:** Design and execute test cases to validate the accuracy and consistency of data in data warehouse tables, views, and transformations. - **Power BI Testing:** Test Power BI artifacts including reports, dashboards, and semantic models to ensure accurate data representation and business logic implementation. - **SQL-Based Testing:** Use SQL to create automatic test scripts for validating data logic, transformations, and calculations across structured datasets. - **Defect Management:** Identify, document, and track data-related defects. Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure timely resolution and re-validation. - **Regression Testing:** Perform regression testing on updated or migrated data sources and Power BI components, ensuring stability and integrity across releases. - **Testing Documentation:** Maintain clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports to support ongoing QA efforts. - **Collaboration with BI Teams:** Partner with data engineers, analysts, and BI stakeholders to understand requirements, design test strategies, and support a culture of quality. - **Support Migration Projects:** Contribute to the global migration from SSRS to Power BI by validating reports and data outputs during and after the transition. - **Continuous Improvement:** Recommend improvements to testing processes, data quality checks, and validation frameworks to enhance overall QA maturity. Qualifications required for this role include: - **University Degree** (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field) - **3 years of experience** in a data testing, QA, or BI-related role - Strong experience with **SQL** (any dialect) for querying and validating data - Experience testing data in **data warehouses**, including tables, views, and ETL/ELT logic - Familiarity with **Power BI**, particularly in validating DAX calculations, data models, and visuals - Understanding of **semantic model structures** and reporting logic - Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing - Strong **Communication And Documentation Skills** In addition to the "Must have" qualifications, the following skills are considered a "Nice to have": - Familiar with **ETL Test Automation frameworks** - Experience with **Microsoft SQL Server tools** (SSIS), and Azure environments (e.g., Databricks, Synapse) - Familiarity with **Agile methodologies** and tools such as JIRA - Basic understanding of test automation tools or scripting for data testing - Curiosity, accountability, and a quality-first mindset,
