Database Administrator II

Role Overview: As a Database Administrator II at Arrow Electronics, you will be on the frontline of EBS application support, helping to resolve technical issues encountered by end users. Your responsibilities will include upgrades, migrations, and other project-related activities. Key Responsibilities: - Be part of the DBA organization - Work with the Application Development teams to review code and recommend tuning for inefficient code - Coordinate performance-related issues and provide solutions or escalate to the appropriate teams - Provide tuning recommendations for new projects undertaken by the Application Development and DBA teams Qualifications Required: - Oracle DBA with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience - At least 2 years of experience in tuning code using tools like SQL Profiler, SQLT Explain, or any custom performance tools - Working knowledge of tools like AWR, ASH & SQL Tuning Advisor - Good understanding of Oracle Performance tuning hints - Ability to analyze bad SQL code and suggest tuning opportunities - Knowledge in Oracle eBusiness Suite is a plus About Arrow: Arrow Electronics, Inc.
