Database Administrator II

As a Database Administrator II at Arrow Electronics, you will be at the forefront of EBS application support, assisting end users in resolving technical issues and handling upgrades, migrations, and other project-related activities. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Application Development teams to review code, recommend tuning for inefficient code, and coordinate performance-related issues. Your responsibilities will include being part of the DBA organization, providing fixes or redirecting performance-related issues to the appropriate teams, offering tuning recommendations for new projects, and identifying tuning opportunities in SQL code. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of Oracle Performance tuning hints, tools like AWR, ASH, SQL Tuning Advisor, and experience in tuning code using tools such as SQL Profiler, SQLT Explain, or custom performance tools. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 2 years dedicated to tuning code. Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite is considered a plus.
