Project Role : Database Administrator Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Must have skills : Oracle Database Administration (DBA) Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary:As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of databases. Roles & Responsibilities:- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of the databases.- Design and implement database structures and schemas.- Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.- Monitor and optimize database performance.- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.- Implement and maintain database security measures.- Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.- Train and mentor junior database administrators. Professional & Technical Skills:- Must To Have Skills:Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).- Experience with database management systems (DBMS) installation and configuration.- Strong knowledge of database design and implementation.- Expertise in backup and recovery operations.- Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.- Familiarity with database security best practices.- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving database issues.- Good To Have Skills:Experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).- Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring and management.- Understanding of SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.- Knowledge of database migration and upgrade processes. Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
