As an experienced candidate with 10+ years of experience, your role will involve the following responsibilities: Role Overview: You will be responsible for the preparation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of various Posit products including Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager. Your primary focus will be on ensuring system requirements are met, performing installations, configuring services, and conducting testing to verify successful setups. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure system requirements are met for each Posit product, including OS, CPU, RAM, and disk space. - Verify network configurations to allow inbound/outbound traffic as required by each product. - Install and configure Posit Workbench by setting up R, Python, Quarto, and the Workbench package for your OS. - Configure Workbench through its configuration files, set up users, session management, and resource limits. - Install and configure Posit Connect by editing the configuration file, setting up SSL, and starting the service. - Install and configure Posit Package Manager, set up repositories, access controls, and start the service. - Perform ongoing maintenance by applying updates and patches, monitoring license usage, and establishing a support plan. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in system administration and software installation. - Proficiency in setting up and configuring server environments. - Strong knowledge of R, Python, and package management systems. - Experience in managing licenses and applying updates to software products.
