Data Science Lead - Vice President - C13 - Pune

As a Data Science Lead at the company, your role involves staying updated on developments in the field and contributing to the strategic direction by applying them to your job and the business. You are a recognized technical authority within the business, impacting the area through complex deliverables. Your work has a significant influence on the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights, and make strategic recommendations. Develop data displays to clearly communicate complex analysis. - Mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to optimize and improve data quality. - Deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems, determining required data, assessing time & effort, and establishing project plans. - Consult with business clients to identify system functional specifications and integrate multiple areas to achieve business goals. - Lead the system change process from requirements through implementation, providing support to business users. - Formulate systems scope and goals for complex projects, considering the business implications of technology applications. - Drive communication between business leaders and IT, exchanging complex information effectively. - Collaborate on design and implementation of workflow solutions for scalability, reliability, and integration with reporting. - Develop expertise in supported business areas, evaluate process integration opportunities, and gather requirements across Business Sectors. - Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze and map current state processes, identifying improvement opportunities. Qualifications: - MBA or Advanced Degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or Computer Science. - 10+ years of experience in statistical modeling of large data sets. - Proficiency in data handling suites like PYTHON, Spark, R, HIVE, SAS, SQL, or similar packages. - Strong ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets. - Experience in designing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. - Familiarity with Statistical, Machine Learning, and AI techniques. - Proficiency in Visualization tools like Tableau, POWER BI. - Expertise in core python development, with knowledge of libraries such as pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and OOPs concepts. - Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems. - Hands-on experience with Unix-based operating systems and writing SQL queries. - Experience with source code management tools like Bitbucket, Git. - Process Improvement or Project Management experience. Additional Details: - Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus. - Experience in banking domains like pricing, risk is advantageous. - CFA/FRM certification is a plus.
