Overview of the Role :

Data Science Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and deploy advanced

  machine learning and statistical models

  for forecasting, prediction, recommendation, and anomaly detection.
• Develop and optimize

  time series forecasting models

  for IoT sensor data using:
• Traditional methods: ARIMA, SARIMA
• Deep learning models: RNN, LSTM, GRU
• Own the

  end-to-end data science lifecycle

  —from data exploration and experimentation to production deployment and performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain

  scalable ML pipelines

  for model training and inference in production environments.
• Apply

  NLP, Computer Vision, and multimodal AI

  techniques to develop customer-facing solutions.
• Implement

  LLM/SLM-based applications

  using tools such as

  LangChain, LangGraph, and HuggingFace

  .
• Collaborate closely with

  data engineering, product, and platform teams

  to ensure seamless system integration.
• Provide

  technical leadership and mentorship

  to a team of 5–6 data science engineers.
• Participate in

  customer discussions

  to present solutions, gather requirements, and ensure business alignment.

Desired Skills & Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Computer Science or a related field

  (AI/ML certification is a plus).

• 4–5 years of industry experience

  in data science and applied machine learning.
• Strong

  Python programming

  skills with hands-on experience in major ML frameworks and libraries.
• Solid foundation in

  data mining, pattern analysis, and anomaly detection

  .
• Proven experience building and deploying

  time series models for IoT data

  .
• Experience working with

  production-scale datasets

  for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Practical exposure to

  NLP and Computer Vision

  projects.
• Familiarity with

  LLM/SLM ecosystems

  , including LangChain, LangGraph, and HuggingFace.
• Exposure to

  cloud platforms

  and modern

  data engineering tools

  .
• Comfortable leading a small technical team and engaging directly with customers.
