Data Product Manager

As a data-savvy Product Manager at Zinnia, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of life and annuity platforms through high-impact data solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Owning and driving the full product lifecycle for data products, from research and market analysis to roadmap planning, requirements definition, and launch. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, Business, and Client Services to define technical solutions, estimate effort, plan releases, and manage sprint backlogs. - Designing and customizing data layouts based on Zinnia standards and client-specific requirements, such as Data Warehouse, Reserve, Tax, NCOA, and Hedge. - Translating business and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories using SQL (Oracle/MS SQL Server) and APIs. - Acting as a key liaison across stakeholders in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Leading QA and production deployment activities, including FTEV validation, defect triage, and post-migration support. - Performing root cause analysis for incidents, documenting impact and resolution, and implementing preventative actions. - Identifying product gaps and growth opportunities through market trends research, platform usage analysis, and client feedback. - Supporting strategic decisions with analysis on ROI, consumer behavior, build-vs-buy assessments, and platform performance. - Maintaining detailed documentation and delivering regular training sessions. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or Masters degree with 4+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Business Analysis, or a similar data-centric role. - Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (Oracle and MS SQL Server) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Proven experience working with API integrations and data interface design in enterprise systems. - Solid understanding of system architectures, client/server models, and data integration frameworks. - Familiarity with business process modeling and workflow tools, including decision tables, data flow diagrams, and system mapping. - Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions across product and engineering teams. - Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. - Willingness to develop industry-related knowledge. - Analytical, organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Must be a self-starter, flexible, and motivated. - Great to have experience in BFSI Industry across Annuity, mutual funds, financial services, or life insurance.,
