Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Privacy professional to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 10-20 years of experience in data protection and privacy management, with a strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations. The role involves developing and implementing privacy policies, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of data handling practices to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Provide guidance and support to various departments on data privacy issues and best practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data privacy inquiries and concerns from employees and external stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in privacy legislation and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on data privacy awareness and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (CIPP, CIPM, etc.) is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, Indian IT Act).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to assess data privacy risks and compliance issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex privacy concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data privacy management tools and software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
