Data Platform Lead

You will be a core contributor to the team building and scaling the new on-premise data platform that aims to revolutionize how data is leveraged within the organization. Your role as a Platform Engineer will involve implementing and managing the foundational layers of the platform to create a unified ecosystem for Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts. You will play a crucial part in turning the vision of a scalable, resilient, and high-performing data platform into a reality. Your responsibilities will include building and managing a highly available Kubernetes cluster, automating platform setup using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, deploying and managing open-source data services, ensuring the platform's security posture, creating CI/CD pipelines for platform components, and collaborating with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to provide a stable and efficient platform. For mid-level qualifications, you should have hands-on experience with deploying applications on Kubernetes, proficiency in container technologies, experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, strong backend software development skills, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, understanding of distributed systems concepts, and a security-conscious approach to infrastructure management. Senior-level qualifications will require proven experience in designing and architecting production-grade Kubernetes clusters, expertise in solving complex scaling issues within distributed systems, a track record of implementing secure cluster networking and storage solutions, experience with modern data stack components, ability to mentor other engineers, and deep experience in observability and performance tuning for Kubernetes and applications.
