Data Operations Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking to join our growing Data Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with >7 years of experience in the fund services or financial operations space. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing daily processes related to monitoring fund portfolio data, pricing, NAV calculation, and reporting across multiple frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly) to facilitate regulatory oversight and governance processes of other internal teams. This role is crucial to upholding standards of operational excellence, risk management, and service delivery. You will act as a Subject matter expert in Asset data operations.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Data Validation

Understand, collect, compile and review portfolio/investment level data (NAV, investment managers report, valuation reports, etc

Enhance metadata content of portfolios/investments using different sources

Investigate, reconcile, and resolve data discrepancies across systems and sources

Communicate exceptions and prepare necessary reporting Fund Operational Suppor

Accurately process and review fund NAV and pricing data to prepare reporting supporting fund operational and valuation oversight task

. Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with documented procedures and agreed service levels

Maintain and update internal systems and databases; support testing for system enhancements

Support internal teams by providing timely, accurate data and responding to queries. Monitor task timelines and ensure SLAs are met consistently

Identify and help implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

Adhere to compliance, risk, and operational procedures; escalate deviations as appropriate

. Assess root cause analysis and quality control reviews for any operational issues or errors and lead closure. Governance & Risk

Maintain high attention to detail to minimise operational risk and data errors

Identify potential gaps in existing processes and drive the implementation of risk mitigation strategies. People Leadership & Team Collaboration

Act as a mentor to new team members or colleagues requiring support

. Provide Coaching / Training to team member/members as appropriate and according to the specific needs of the individual and the group. Support the team lead in tracking team deliverables, organising training, and ensuring quality standards

Collaborate with peers across departments to meet shared goals and deliver excellent service

Key Requirements

Experience & Skills

7 + Years of experience in fund operations, financial data management, or a related field.

People management exp required

Experience in asset management, fund accounting, or related financial services is preferred.

Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team. . . . .

Basic understanding of fund structures (e.g., UCITS, AIFs), NAV calculation, and valuation principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage.

Familiarity with data entry systems or fund administration platforms preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Business, Law, Economics, or a related field.
