Job Description

As a Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining inventory records into the company's database or inventory management system. Your role will involve handling inventory data, updating stock levels, tracking product movements, and ensuring the integrity of the inventory records. To excel in this position, you should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with data entry systems. Key Responsibilities: - Input and update inventory data in the company's inventory management system. - Maintain accurate records of stock levels, product movements, and warehouse transactions. - Process and verify inventory transactions, including stock transfers, receipts, and shipments. - Generate and review inventory reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. - Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and avoid stock outs or overstocking. - Work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure smooth inventory management. - Perform routine audits to verify the accuracy of physical stock against recorded data. - Assist with stocktaking and inventory reconciliation activities. - Resolve discrepancies and issues related to inventory data in a timely manner. - Maintain and organize inventory documentation, including receipts, delivery notes, and invoices. - Provide administrative support related to inventory management as needed. Qualifications: - Bachelor, diploma, or equivalent; an associate's degree or relevant certification preferred. - Proven experience in data entry, preferably in an inventory or warehouse setting. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and practices is a plus. - Ability to handle repetitive tasks and maintain focus over long periods. In this role, you may need to: - Sit for extended periods and use a computer. - Lift or carry inventory items (may vary depending on the workplace). Working Conditions: - Office environment or warehouse setting, depending on the company's structure. - May require occasional overtime during peak periods or inventory audits.
