Data Engineer - SBI Securities

We are looking for an experienced data engineer, preferably with experience in the Broking industry, to join our BIU team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems, create custom reports, and optimise existing codes to enhance organizational productivity. You will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability and performance striving for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages.

Role & responsibilities

• Analyse and organize raw data
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Combine raw information from different sources
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
• Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting
• Research required data

Preferred candidate profile

• 2-3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on companys success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Alteryx
• Experience with Cloud based technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Salesforce
• Experience with data driven programming (R, Python/Pandas, SAS, etc.)
