About the Role

Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop

    ETL pipelines

    using

    Databricks (PySpark/SQL)

    .
  • Integrate data from diverse sources (SQL, APIs, cloud storage) into Databricks.
  • Optimize Spark jobs for

    performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency

    .
  • Implement and manage

    Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture

    , and data governance.
  • Design and publish

    Power BI reports and dashboards

    with advanced DAX and Power Query.
  • Work on

    data modeling

    (Star/Snowflake schema) to support BI solutions.
  • Ensure

    data quality, validation, and security

    in all processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, Business) for reporting needs.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize

    Databricks clusters and pipelines

    .

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with

    Databricks (PySpark/SQL)

    .
  • Strong proficiency in

    Power BI

    (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboards).
  • Experience with

    Azure Data Lake / Delta Lake

    integration.
  • Solid understanding of

    ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI architecture

    .
  • Strong SQL skills (query optimization, stored procedures).
  • Familiarity with

    Azure Synapse / Data Factory

    or similar tools (good to have).
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of

    CI/CD for data pipelines

    .
  • Exposure to

    ML model integration

    with Databricks.
  • Understanding of

    data security & compliance
