About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to help stabilize and enhance our existing data pipeline infrastructure. You will be responsible for identifying root causes of pipeline failures, implementing fixes, and optimizing data flows to ensure consistent and reliable delivery. This is a contractual opportunity with immediate impact on our core data operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues in existing pipelines to prevent failures and improve uptime.
• Redesign or enhance workflows for better reliability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes using Python and Apache tools (Airflow, Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely data delivery.
• Document processes and implement monitoring tools for early issue detection.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience managing data pipelines (especially scheduled/batch-based workflows).
• Strong expertise in Python for data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with Apache tools/frameworks (Airflow, Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, and pipeline performance tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an advantage.
