I am looking for Data Engineers to work on a short 10 week contract for one of my clients in Abu Dhabi. This role is fully remote and may extend beyond the end of the contract.

Job Title – Data Engineer / Data Modeler

Salary / Day Rate – USD 290 – USD 310 Per Day

Contract Length – 10 Weeks

Location – Fully Remote

Start Date – ASAP – Subject to Security Clearance.

Data Engineer who is a SQL, Data Modelling expert

Responsibilities

• You’re an

  expert in

  SQL

  and can comprehend, write hard SQL queries comfortably
• You know about

  SQL performance optimization techniques

  and follow best practices when writing SQL queries
• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines following medallion architecture patterns (bronze, silver, gold layers)
• Build and optimize data transformations using SQL for large-scale data processing
• Expert developing

  dimensional data models

  ,

  aggregations

  , and

  KPI calculations

  in the gold layer for analytics consumption
• Implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems including databases, APIs, and file-based sources
• Create and maintain data transformation logic using transformation frameworks
• Design and implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring across all pipeline stages
• Build and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools

Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering building production-grade

  data pipelines

  and writing

  SQL queries.

• Advanced SQL skills

  including complex queries, window functions, CTEs, and query performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of

  dimensional modelling

  , star schemas, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong expertise in building data pipelines and query optimization
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks and automation
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools: Apache Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Experience with data lake storage formats: Delta Lake, Parquet, or Iceberg
• Experience with data quality frameworks and implementing validation rules at scale; familiarity with Great Expectations or similar data quality testing frameworks
• Experience deploying and managing data platforms in

  on-premises environments.
