Role Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on resilience and performance.
Validate and enrich datasets to ensure they are analytics- and ML-ready.
Manage schemas, versioning, and data contracts to ensure data consistency and integrity.
Work with PostgreSQL, SQLite, Spark, DuckDB, and Airflow to manage workflows.
Optimize data pipelines using Python and pandas for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to align data pipelines with product and research requirements.

Requirements

Background in computer science, data engineering, or information systems.
Proficiency in Python, pandas, and SQL.
Hands-on experience with databases like PostgreSQL or SQLite.
Familiarity with distributed data processing using Spark or DuckDB.
Experience orchestrating workflows with
Airflow or similar tools.
Comfortable working with common data formats like JSON, CSV, and Parquet.
Knowledge of schema design, data contracts, and version control using Git.
Ability to work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours.
Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).
