Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm. We refer top candidates to our partners working with the world’s leading AI research labs to help build and train cutting-edge AI models.

Role Responsibilities

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on scalability, reliability, and resilience.
Validate, enrich, and serve datasets to ensure they’re analytics- and ML-ready.
Manage schemas, versioning, and data contracts to maintain consistency and reproducibility.
Work with PostgreSQL/SQLite, Spark/DuckDB, and Airflow (or similar tools) to orchestrate workflows.
Optimize pipelines for performance and reliability using Python and pandas.
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to align data pipelines with product and research needs.

Requirements

Background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Information Systems.
Proficiency in Python, pandas, and SQL.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or SQLite databases.
Understanding of distributed data processing frameworks (Spark or DuckDB).
Experience orchestrating workflows with Airflow or similar tools.
Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, CSV, and Parquet.
Knowledge of version control with Git.
