Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as

    second-level escalation

    for data center incidents reported by Level 1 support or monitoring systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective or preventive actions.
  • Handle server builds, reimaging, configuration, and patching in coordination with platform teams.
  • Manage hardware maintenance and replacement (e.g., drives, RAM, network cards, power supplies).
  • Handle Network issues on L1 & L2 level

Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Monitor infrastructure systems (servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network connectivity, and environmental sensors).
  • Analyze and respond to alerts from monitoring tools
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure data center systems meet uptime and SLA targets.
  • Validate backups, replication, and failover mechanisms.

Change & Incident Management

  • Execute planned maintenance and approved configuration changes during maintenance windows.
  • Update and maintain asset inventory, configuration records (CMDB), and documentation.

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with

    Storage, Storage, and Cloud teams

    for cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Liaise with hardware and software vendors for escalation and RMA coordination.
  • Mentor and support Level 1 technicians with technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
  • Travel Onsite during off-business hours in case of any emergency issues

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Record incidents, changes, and work logs in the ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
  • Provide regular performance, capacity, and incident reports to management.

Compliance & Security

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise IT security and audit standards.
  • Enforce data center physical access and safety policies.
  • Support audit and compliance teams during IT infrastructure assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in enterprise data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
  • Hands-on experience in

    Network Management

    within enterprise environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in

    Network Administration.

  • Basic Understanding of

    virtualization platforms

    (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with

    SAN/NAS storage

    technologies (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, etc.).
  • Experience with

    monitoring and ticketing tools

    (ServiceNow, SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).

Work Environment:

  • On-site, enterprise data center with 24x7 operations.
  • Fixed 9 AM 6 PM and off-hour support may be required.
  • CTC: 6LPA
  • Location: Pawne, Navi Mumbai
