Role Overview: As a Security & Privacy Architect within the Data & AI Architecture team at BT, you will play a crucial role in building security patterns and frameworks, integrating security and data privacy measures into solutions, and collaborating with other architecture chapters to ensure robust security practices across platforms. Your focus will be on developing and maintaining security and data privacy patterns, analyzing security incidents, left-shifting security early in the design process, and providing technical expertise to enhance security and privacy standards within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain security and data privacy patterns and frameworks for various platforms and solutions. - Analyze current security incidents to identify vulnerabilities and integrate preventive measures into solution designs. - Proactively incorporate security and privacy considerations early in the design and development process. - Collaborate with other architecture chapters to implement security and privacy patterns aligning with architectural principles. - Stay informed about the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to mitigate potential risks. - Provide technical expertise to ensure effective integration of security and privacy measures into technical solutions. - Ensure adherence to security and privacy standards and practices across all projects and solutions. - Offer sound technical advice on security and privacy-related matters to teams and stakeholders. - Continuously identify opportunities to enhance security and privacy standards and practices within the organization. - Address complex security and privacy issues impacting multiple domains and provide effective resolutions. Qualifications Required: - Strong architectural background with experience in infrastructure, engineering, or security disciplines. - Hands-on experience combined with traditional architectural skills. - Willingness to learn and adapt to change, championing change and thinking outside the box. - Experience in defining, designing, and managing complex technical solutions across multiple domains. - Proficiency in documenting and managing solutions across projects. - Understanding of data concepts and ability to articulate key concepts across disciplines. - Experience in building data analytics platforms on cloud technologies, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Certification in GCP, AWS, Azure, or another cloud platform is beneficial. - Knowledge of technologies supporting data security and privacy.
