Data Architect

Role Overview: As a Data Architect at BNP Paribas India Solutions, your primary responsibility is to ensure that systems are designed, upgraded, managed, decommissioned, and archived in compliance with data policy across the full data life cycle. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and growth by harnessing the potential of over 10,000 employees to provide support and develop best-in-class solutions for Corporate and Institutional Banking, Investment Solutions, and Retail Banking for BNP Paribas across the Group. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with key business stakeholders to establish fundamental data governance processes. - Define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting standards. - Identify and deploy enterprise data best practices such as data scoping, metadata standardization, data lineage, data deduplication, mapping and transformation, and business validation. - Structure the information in the Information System using tools like Abacus, including grouping information, navigation methods, and terminology. - Create and manage data models in compliance with the data framework policy, including conceptual models, functional database designs, message models, and others. - Enable users to logically navigate through the Information System and train them to use tools like Abacus. - Contribute to and enrich the Data Architecture framework through analysis, projects, and IT validations. - Translate business problems into data designs by working with business and technology stakeholders to align user needs with organizational objectives and system requirements. Qualifications Required: - Strong communication skills to effectively interact across organizational, technical, and political boundaries. - Proficiency in data modeling tools like Abacus and ability to produce, maintain, and update data models for specific business needs. - Experience in developing and setting data standards for an organization, communicating the business benefits of data standards, and governing those standards across the organization. - Understanding of metadata management tools and ability to design and maintain metadata repositories to enable the organization to understand their data assets. - Experience working with Enterprise Tools (e.g., Abacus, Informatica, Big Data, Collibra) and BI Tools (e.g., Power BI). - Good understanding of Excel, including formulas and functions.
