Description
As a Data Analyst in Political Consulting, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in analytics and deep understanding of Indian electoral dynamics to support data-driven campaign strategies. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to extract actionable insights from diverse data sources and guide campaign decisions effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, clean, and analyze electoral, demographic, and campaign data from multiple sources such as voter lists, booth-level turnout data, and survey reports. - Build datasets integrating quantitative and qualitative political indicators for thorough analysis. - Conduct voter segmentation, swing analysis, and turnout forecasting to inform strategic decisions. - Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for strategy teams. - Prepare constituency profiles, performance dashboards, and comparative analysis to track election trends. - Create visualizations like charts, heat maps, and scorecards for effective communication with campaign leaders. - Develop predictive models to identify winnable constituencies, influential voter groups, and key campaign issues. - Utilize regression, clustering, and time-series analysis to assess vote share changes and campaign impact. - Partner with political strategists, ground teams, and digital units to design data-backed interventions. - Support the formulation of booth-level strategies and micro-targeting initiatives for optimized campaign outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Political Science, or related fields. - Minimum 2 years of experience in political or electoral data analysis, preferably with campaign or consulting firms. - Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau, SQL. - Strong understanding of Indian electoral systems, constituency mapping, and voter behavior. - Ability to handle large datasets and present insights in a structured, narrative-driven manner. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English.
