Data Analyst

The Role:

A Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. The role involves gathering data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets, and cleaning and preprocessing it to ensure accuracy and relevance. Using statistical tools and software, the Data Analyst analyzes data sets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations. The Data Analyst creates detailed reports and dashboards to present findings, using visualization tools like graphs, charts, and infographics to make data easily understandable. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to understand their data needs and provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis

Key Responsibilities:

Collect data from internal databases, spreadsheets, and external sources

Clean, validate, and organize data to ensure integrity and usability.

Apply statistical techniques to discover trends, patterns, and correlations

Provide actionable insights to guide business and operational strategies.

Create dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau

Design visualizations that simplify complex datasets and highlight key findings.

Work with product, engineering, and business teams to understand data needs

Translate business requirements into analytical solutions.

Ensure data practices align with organizational standards and privacy regulations

Assist with documentation and support audits when necessary.

Propose enhancements to data systems and processes

Contribute to the development of automated reporting and data pipelines

Skills Required:

Experience in managing, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets.

Hands-on experience with data tools like Excel, SQL, Python (or R), and Pandas.

Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Exposure to cross-functional collaboration in technical and non-technical teams.

Must To Have Skill Set

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL Basics

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with data cleaning and transformation using Python or Pandas

Clear written and verbal communication

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Good To Have Skill Set

Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI

Exposure to business intelligence or reporting in a corporate setting

Basic knowledge of R or other statistical programming languages.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering (BE/BTech), ideally in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field

Certifications in Basic SQL, Python, Data Visualization. Qualities:
