Job Description

Job Role: Dance Teacher

Locations: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon/ Sector 70A, Gurgaon/ Sarjapura, Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and structured dance lessons as per the school time plan and CBSE co-scholastic guidelines.
Teach various dance forms - classical (e.g., Bharatnatyam, Kathak), folk, contemporary, and semi-classical.
Choreograph performances for school functions, cultural programs, inter-school competitions, annual day, and special assemblies.
Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that nurtures students creative expression.
Plan and prepare lesson plans aligned with the school s arts curriculum.
Maintain student records for attendance, participation, and progress in dance activities.
Collaborate with music and drama teachers for integrated performing arts programs.
Guide and mentor students for external dance competitions or CBSE-organized events.
Ensure safe use of space and proper warm-up/cool-down routines to prevent injuries.
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school training sessions.
Support in school-wide events and activities as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors or Master s Degree in Performing Arts (Dance) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Formal training in one or more classical/folk/contemporary dance forms.
Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in a school setup preferred (CBSE school experience is a plus).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Passion for dance and ability to inspire students.
Familiarity with CBSE co-scholastic evaluation criteria.
Creativity in choreography and performance planning.
Patience, enthusiasm, and ability to engage learners of varying skill levels.
