Job Role: Visual Arts Teacher Location: Sarjapura, Bangalore Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development : Design and deliver a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with the school s educational philosophy and objectives. Ensure that lessons are engaging, inclusive, and foster creativity and critical thinking. Instruction : Teach visual arts to students across [grade levels]. Offer instruction in various media, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, and mixed media. Classroom Management : Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes collaboration, individual expression, and respect for others. Student Assessment : Evaluate student work regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records of student progress and achievements. Collaboration : Work closely with other faculty members and school leadership to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide activities. Community Engagement : Participate in school events, exhibitions, and showcases that highlight students work and the role of the arts in the community. Encourage student participation in local or national art contests and collaborations. Professional Development : Stay current on developments in art education, emerging trends in visual art, and best teaching practices. Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance teaching strategies and content knowledge. Responsibility and Leadership : Act as a mentor to students and promote the values of responsibility, creativity, and community. Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and contribute to a supportive school environment. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field. A Master s degree is a plus. Proficiency in various art mediums and techniques. Strong knowledge of art history, contemporary art trends, and visual culture. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
