Role Description

1. Conduct Engaging Dance Classes:

   Plan and deliver structured dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring students are actively involved and progressing in their learning.

2. Teach a Variety of Dance Forms:

   Introduce students to various dance styles such as classical, contemporary, folk, Bollywood, hip-hop, and creative movement, encouraging versatility and cultural awareness.

3. Choreograph Performances:

   Conceptualize and choreograph dance routines for school events, annual functions, inter-school competitions, assemblies, and special celebrations.

4. Design Dance Curriculum:

   Develop a well-rounded, progressive curriculum aligned with age-appropriate learning objectives and performance goals, fostering both technical skills and creativity.

5. Promote Expression and Creativity:

   Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel confident to express themselves through movement, encouraging artistic exploration.

6. Assess and Track Student Progress:

   Monitor students' performance and provide regular feedback to help them improve technique, rhythm, coordination, and stage presence.

7. Collaborate with Staff:

   Work closely with other educators, music teachers, and event coordinators to integrate dance into broader school activities and interdisciplinary projects.

8. Maintain a Safe and Supportive Space:

   Ensure physical safety and emotional well-being during classes, while instilling discipline, teamwork, and respect for the performing arts.

9. Stay Updated with Trends:

   Stay informed about emerging trends, choreography techniques, and teaching methodologies in dance education to bring innovation to the classroom.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Dance Instruction, Teaching, and Dance Education
2. Expertise in various dance forms and techniques
3. Ability to incorporate music into dance classes and performances
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Creativity and ability to inspire students
6. Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field
7. Previous teaching experience is a must
