Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Intern at Skoollage, you will gain hands-on experience in securing systems, identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and understanding real-world cyber threats. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and system activities
• Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security controls
• Conduct risk assessments and basic penetration testing under supervision
• Help create, review, and update cybersecurity policies and compliance documentation
• Support IT/security teams in incident response and resolution
• Research emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and defense strategies

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields
• Understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and system protection basics
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux (preferred)
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities is an added advantage
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
