Position Overview: Aker Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior SAP Finance Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO modules, with a proven track record of successful implementations, support, and optimization in a complex, global enterprise environment. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our ongoing digital transformation journey and play a key role in enhancing our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation: Lead and participate in the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP FICO solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.


• Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into SAP functional specifications, and provide expert advice on SAP capabilities.


• System Enhancement & Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within the SAP FICO landscape to drive efficiency and effectiveness.


• Support & Maintenance: Provide expert-level support for SAP FICO modules, including incident resolution, problem management, and ongoing system maintenance.


• Project Management: Potentially lead or support SAP finance-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.


• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, test scripts, and user manuals.


• Training: Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users to ensure effective adoption of SAP functionalities.


• Integration: Work with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PS, HR) and non-SAP systems for seamless integration.


• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all SAP FICO configurations and processes comply with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


• SAP FICO Expertise: 6+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant, with deep knowledge and practical experience in:
  
  
  
  • General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP) ,Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  
  
  • Internal Orders, New GL functionalities, Cash Management (preferred)
  
  
  • Project Systems (PS) integration with FICO (preferred)
  
  
  • Controlling (CO-PA, Product Costing - preferred)
  
  
  
  


• Implementation Experience: Proven experience in multiple full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations (at least 2-3 full cycles).


• Configuration Skills: Strong configuration skills across all sub-modules of FICO.


• Business Process Knowledge: Excellent understanding of core finance and accounting business processes.


• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.


• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


• Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a global environment.


• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders.


• English Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills (Bonus Points):

• Experience with S/4HANA Finance.


• Knowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).


• Experience with treasury modules (TRM).


• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry.
