Job Description

Position: Service Manager

Industry: Refrigeration (Only candidates from refrigeration background will be considered)
Experience: 8 to 10 Years
Qualification: B.E. Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the service coordinator to organize, schedule, and prioritize the service team's workload, ensuring timely completion of tasks based on technician capability and project complexity.
  • Guide and supervise the service team for effective work distribution and execution.
  • Manage training and skill development initiatives within the Service Department.
  • Develop strategies to grow service division sales, including promotions, AMC proposals, and enhanced service offerings.
  • Assist in preparing estimates and proposals for equipment, services, and maintenance contracts based on site inspections and ROI calculations.
  • Monitor ongoing project costs and profitability to ensure service efficiency.
  • Establish and manage the on-call service schedule and handle emergency service dispatches.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to service technicians.
  • Approve personnel timesheets and verify accuracy of service tickets and field reports.
  • Oversee inventory control and maintenance of tools and service equipment.
  • Conduct quality checks and regular site visits to ensure service standards are met.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and proper execution of all commitments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in service management within the refrigeration industry.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a service team of at least 5–7 members.
  • Strong customer orientation and commitment to high-quality service delivery.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present technical proposals and close service deals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and service documentation tools.
  • Capable of working under pressure and delivering results within deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
