Summary:As a Software Development Engineer, your typical day will involve analyzing, designing, coding, and testing various components of application code across multiple clients. You will engage in maintenance and enhancement tasks, ensuring that the applications function optimally and meet client requirements. Collaboration with team members will be essential as you contribute to the development process and address any challenges that arise. Roles & Responsibilities:SAP SD Customization (O2C – Order to Cash):
Configure and customize SAP SD processes for FMCG sales flows:Sales order managementFree goods, trade promotions, and schemesBatch-based delivery and shelf-life trackingImplement complex pricing procedures involving discounts and promotional schemesCustomize delivery types, billing types, and returns management (expiry-based)Interfaces:Design and manage interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems, such as:CRM, DMS (Distributor Management System)WMS/3PL systemsEDI/IDoc InterfacesAPIs using SAP PI/PO, CPI, or middlewareHandle real-time and batch data exchange for orders, deliveries, invoices, and master data.Monitor and troubleshoot interface-related issues, ensuring end-to-end data integrity.Process Automation:Automate repetitive sales tasks such as:Auto sales order creation from distributor uploadsAuto batch assignment for FEFO (First Expiry First Out)Auto batch determination based on remaining shelf life.E-invoicing and E-way bill generation (India GST)EDI automation from Order to Billing for Ecommerce customers.Background jobs / scheduling toolsAutomate order processing, invoicing, and report generation.Implement alerts and exception-handling mechanisms to reduce manual intervention.Support & Enhancements:Handle day-to-day incidents, service requests, and enhancement ticketsDocument functional specifications and support ABAP team for custom developmentsConduct UAT, system testing, and provide go-live/post-go-live support
Professional & Technical Skills:5 – 7 years of SAP SD experience with at least 1 implementation and multiple support projects in S/4 HANA preferrable in FMCG Experience in S/4 HANA is mandatoryStrong configuration knowledge of:Pricing and promotion schemesOrder processing and returnsBilling, invoicing, and credit managementEDI, IdocExperience with high-volume transactions and fast distribution cyclesStrong understanding of integration with MM, WM, and FI modulesFamiliarity with Indian tax regulations (GST, HSN codes, etc.)Ability to work under pressure in high-transaction FMCG environmentsStrong communication and coordination skills with sales, supply chain, and IT teamsAnalytical mindset with focus on process improvement and automationTeam player with proactive attitude towards solving business challenges
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).This position is based at our Noida office.A 15 years full time education is required.
